Yes, I can imagine not everybody has learned yet how to cast shadows, but when I see the wrong 'flat' shading like you demonstrated here everywhere on professional commercial drawings, I get SOOOO ANGRYYYYYYYY AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH

haha XD yeah once you learn it, it gets tough to look at it when its not how you learned it!

ugh, those are the worst! Whenever I think a cartoon movie box art looks dumb, i wont judge it until I look at the screenshots on the back. 99% of the time the box art is just horrible and the real cartoon looks actually good. Who do they get to do the art on those??

Just to put this out there, there's a fantastic book that teaches all kinds of stuff like this called "Drawing Lessons from the Great Masters" by Robert Beverly Hale.
