The problem is people were taking the games too seriously and so they don't allow personal fursonas to "play" in the FBA anymore, which is really frustrating. I don't see how people playing a make-believe game with make-believe characters, with their scores and victories determined by some unknown algorithm or the whims of strangers could cause grief.
well by making people make a character that is not there personal character it gives them a OOC / IC line.. and helps take the "personal" out of it. I really enjoy the FBA and the community of people that it is, artistes, story writers, furies, so treating it like any other RPG is the safest rout and the best approach IMO.
Also making a "new" character for it allows you to have room for growth and exploration. It is a large community story that it is best to have a new character "rolled up" for so your can experience it to its fullest.
