Kalina, the original "Baby Shamu" September 26, 1985-October 4, 2010
She was the very first killer whale successfully born and raised in a zoological environment. She leaves behind her mother and four calves. The death of a killer whale hasn't affected me this much since 2003 when Keiko died in Norway.
If you feel like crying, you can watch this video of her birth, along with a music video payed for by SeaWorld. It's a montage of Kalina, her mother, and her trainers in her first years of life.

She was the second orca I ever knew by name. Known her almost as long as I've been alive. Her loss is truly crushing.
As much as I respect the opinions of those who oppose cetaceans in captivity, I ask that we all show restraint on the subject on this submission. I've fought enough and no longer have the desire.
