I wonder what percentage of people on Fur Affinity went to a prom. Geeks is geeks.
Anyway, yeah, coffins tended to be a thing for the wealthy and/or well-connected until lately. A shroud was about the best you could hope for; most wood was used to keep warm or build hovels. This world probably wouldn't be much different.
