I LOOOOOOOVE this piece! Were I ever to get more paintings framed, this one would be head of the line, hahaha. We can thank Delta Nova for this one, as we really should, since they did such incredible work on it. Every WIP just got better and better!

Every step forward had meant three steps back in a war fought against a technologically superior adversary. Numerous great leaders had been lost on the unending retreat of the Fennsky/Kryixx alliance, their backs pushed against wall after wall until every means of weaseling themselves out of such corners were exhausted. Valek Vladmiss himself had been taken prisoner very early in the war, yet upon his miraculous escape he brought with him an (albeit heavily damaged) Venatrix-class freighter - a testament, he claimed, to the hubris of their enemy. Within its hold lay untold lines of artillery and stockpiles of ammunition. The freighter itself would later be renamed the Ferrovix, in honor of a fallen Kryixx commander and friend of Valek, Delensky Ferrox. Valek would be named artillery commander of the new division, its first battle to be remembered as the turning point in the war.
