I think one of the more intriguing things about avian folks would be their relationship to their eggs. This responsibility would carry over into their public culture in a variety of ways I imagine.

I'm sure there would have to be other products to help with caring for the egg. Maternity wards would likely still exist for those unable to care for their eggs at home, but would think only the poorest of the poor wouldn't have something for it. Probably for complications too if they occur. I suspect egg laying would be done at home even for those able to afford medical care.

Depending on the bird species, eating feral eggs might be verboten, or it could be normal. But use of eggs in iconography and advertising would be common. Heck, I can imagine thriller/action movies about recovering stolen eggs; eggnapping might even be a thing.

As for feral eggs, people eat veal. That's no different. Heck, some cultures even eat monkeys as well.

I suppose that's true, especially since some bird species naturally eat the eggs from other birds.
