Today they had me all but acting like an animal, which was extremely degrading. They alternated between having me do an experiment about my skill at human tasks, and then have me do experiments that are often used on dogs for intelligence and agility. Naturally my ability to write or hold objects is all but completely gone. I can hold an object, but not really manipulate it in any way. They even had that crow-like test where my task was to just insert a straw in a hole and I was struggling with even that.
The animal intelligence tests were by far the most degrading. Like asking me to open up a box full of little portions of meat. Not only did it seem extremely childish but almost insulting that they would think my only reason for doing showing that i can do this simple toy with the intention of just getting a little bit of jerky as a reward.
The way they were treating me was so degrading over the course of the day I was half surprised that for dinner they gave me normal food on a normal plate. Given that they were treating me like an animal all day I was half expecting them to give me wet dog food in a bowl and another bowl for water. Granted, my food wasn’t as varied as theirs as my dietary restrictions are a lot tougher than theirs and I’ve gotten used to that. There are simply too many human food items that would make me sick if I tried to eating them.
