Egad, these pigeons are gorgeous they could compete in beauty contest against the Quetzal and Bird of Paradise! Never knew of their existence until now [thank you for shining some light onto them]. It's interesting to note how the tropics always seem to foster the most colorful and beautiful birds in the world [even when the species themselves, like the pigeon family, are not known for outright color or looks], maybe it's the surroundings or the environment.
