So here's my 21 year old lady.
She used to belong to my grandma who bought her off the show room floor back in 2001 when she was brand new.
My grandma passed away in 2014 and we got the car in 2015. She only put around 22k miles on in all the years she had the car.
My grandma took amazing care of the car, and now my dad and I do the same.
One of her favorite things were lighthouses. She had so many figures of them, towels, paintings, you name it. She'd even cross stitch different lighthouse designs. (Along with cats, dogs, horses, she was a huuuge animal lover) So I figured I'd include one in this piece for her.
My grandma was a huge inspiration in my life. She used to draw for me and would talk with me for hours and hours. Or she'd be watching me run around, burning out all my energy in their massive yard with their German Shepherd mix, Sadie. My grandma would always tell me: "When you're here, she's your dog."
I miss my grandma a lot, I really wish I had been older and more mature at the time she passed away. But I was only around 16.
I'm so thankful for the memories that I did get to share with her and my grandpa.
And I've had so so so so many memories in this car.
Though my mom's mustang was the first car I ever drove, this was my second and it was an instant click. I love everything about this dang car, even if to anyone else it's just a car they'd pass on the road 100 times before they'd even care to know what she is. Sentimental value at its finest for me lol.
My mom (who is also gone) taught me to drive in this car, I passed (and failed lol) my road test in this car, so many of my friends have driven (and complained about) this car, I've crammed my drunk friends into the back seat (she's only a coupe so good luck lol I can't get in/out easily when I'm sober)
I've made soooo many CDs for this car and would blast them going down the highway.
Got my first speeding ticket in this car (maybe my last, but probably not, let's be honest)
I got stuck in the snow three times in one day in this car (I have snows now)
These are just a few honorable mentions.
She's definitely my cruising buddy lol, gone on many many long trips with me.
But anyways, here's my car lol.
Her name is Dorothy and I hope she'll be with me for many years to come, even though my friends are definitely sick of this small car and will never see what's so important about it.
I've been trying to trace pictures I've taken of my cars and my friend's cars to make them into little pixel scenes since I'm trying to also get more into pixel art. This is only the second car piece I've done, but I guess it doesn't look too bad idk.
