Well this seems exciting and interesting. I've heard mention of the Manatear setting, probably by you, but I know nothing about it.

So, what is it? Where can I learn more?

It is my setting, I am slowly nailing stuff down right now as a deliberate patreon project. I do post all of the reference material like this on here but it's not super centralized. Patreon gets them a week'ish ahead of time. Once I have more done I'll create somewhere to reference them, probably on google drive, and when I do I'll probably post a journal about it.

Also, forgive me if it's scary or unwanted, but I've been warning people about using Google Drive, especially for any adult stuff. They actually have rules about what their various services can be used for, and in order to comply with american obscenity laws, they forbid their various services like Google Drive and Google Docs from being used for making or distributing pornography and other adult materials. They don't often do it but sometimes they'll catch someone and ban them; not just from Google Drive or Docs or whatever, but from the whole Google Suite and their account. So, you could lose your google email and all sorts of other stuff attached to it.

It's a pretty bad situation. Microsoft's suite of matching online services have the same rule and potential for banning, too. So, I'm not sure what to suggest as an alternative. But, I want ot make sure everyone is aware of this danger.

Ooft. I was some what aware, thankfully most of my reference stuff is sfw intentionally. not that it will convince someone that decided that it is a problem.

Yeah, different people have different ideas of 'sfw' and what's acceptable or not, what's 'obscene' or not...

It wasn't that long ago that gay and lesbian folks were nsfw, even when they were just holding hands. And before that, interracial couples, and even worse...

Not to mention that some folks are going to weird extremes in the modern era, too, like claiming that any overweight character is nsfw and obscene, because they encourage unhealthy habits and only exist to fetishize overweight people. Likewise, transformation stuff, even with no sex or bits or anything, is thought to be only for the fetishistic gratification.

I'm sure plenty of folks feel the same way about furries, in general!

I know its more likely then not a faux pas to do this to something that's probably a sapient being, but considering their immortality... would throwing a dart or something else sharp be enough to buy you some time? Is pulling off the cap as good a strategy for getting one to stop attacking you as punching a shark's nose?

they don't have much physical strength or the ability to leave water really. So it's mostly up to you to screw up to be caught. they are not balloons so puncturing them will cause them to deflate but they won't pop.

Since they are just Balloons with a hivemind god complex (not really but you get the point) Would filling them up with water or something heavier then air or helium at last make them inert long enough to drag them somewhere safe without as much rubbery kicking and squeaking?

I figure you can largely fish one out at a time and haul them a good 50+ft away from water and let them dry off and they'll go inert. One pooltoy isn't too dangerous but there is always like 8+ in their pools.

makes sense. I still wonder if "using yourself as important, mobile fluid storage" is something a more lucid pooltoy would try either out of financial curiosity or horny boredom. It certainly wouldn't go that well but who said one only has to try good ideas?
