As barefooters, we simply must accept that our soles get dirty and nothing can be done about it. When I first started barefooting, I tried to avoid walking on dirty floors and parking garages in attempts to avoid getting dirty feet, but ultimately realized that my soles would look black no matter what. Now whenever we walk barefoot, at any moment we could look down at our soles and expect them to be black and filthy and we must accept that they will always look like that as long as our feet are bare.
