In the late 1980s the powerful Oswald Foundation sought to fill the vacuum created by the death of their founder Maria. Having died with no heir and the organization facing an internal power struggle, the organization's science division created a solution. A clone.
Presented in the public world as a granddaughter kept out of public view, the new Maria was raised specifically to further the Foundation's sudden tilt towards global control. While she would enjoy a degree of freedom, her entire accelerated childhood was flooded with pre-programmed thoughts and views, creating a twisted tyrant who would hopefully one day run the world.
