Braenwyen had initially been very shy around Cotuil - after all, Cotuil was an advisor to Queen Tulkiina, and Braenwyen knew that whatever Cotuil saw and heard, the Queen saw and heard as well. But when Braenwyen had noticed Cotuil's shy nature, her timidness, and her intelligence, she knew that they could be fast friends.
They spent an evening flying about together, and eventually Braenwyen suggested they fly back to her aerie. "I really think you'll like it," she had said.
Her aerie was in a fully-eroded cavern - it was open on both ends, which allowed her to view all of Windsonde at once. They settled down and Cotuil admired the lamps and wind-chimes hanging from the ceiling. Braenwyen (who was still a little afraid of the dark) started a small fire to keep them warm in the chilly night air.
"Oh!" Cotuil exclaimed and Braenwyen looked up. Up in the velvety black sky they could see streaks of light; falling stars on their journey to the earth. They both sat down and watch the natural "fire-works", speculating on what they really could be.
"The souls of fallen warriors?" Braenwyen suggested. "Or spirits coming to earth, perhaps."
"Maybe they're just rocks," Cotuil postulated. "Flaming rocks from the sun."
Braenwyen nodded and sighed contentedly. It is good to have a friend.

some gift-art for Nashoba, the player of Cotuil. i had a lot of fun with this one and played a lot more with the brush settings of photoshop. i really got some nice textures, even for the stone - which usually gives me the most trouble.
i hope you like it hon, and thanks for the friendship <3
