Well, another Monday morning, Chris came over to my house and asked if I want to go on our usual morning walks before we go to work later. Of course I said yes, gives me a chance to send as much time with his as possible, Chris also thinks the same. We started on our walk around the neighborhood in silence just taking in the sights. So, started Chris, it’s Valentines today, yep, I said looking over to my right at an old tree. You thinking about getting your mom anything, and maybe even a special someone, Chris said with a nudge. My mom maybe, as for this “special someone” I don’t have one. Besides I don’t do that kind of stuff unless someone else in the family is doing it and I just tag along with it. I see said Chris with a chuckle, but what about you, are you thinking about giving your mom anything, I asked? Eh, my mom’s the same, she doesn’t care much for the holiday either. Do you have a special someone in your life, I asked, Chris suddenly stops and I looked up at him. Chris, I said with concern, I used to, he said under his breath. I looked up at him with even more concern and curiosity, used to, I repeated. Chris took in a deep breath before speaking again, her name was Jasmine, she was the most beautiful, most caring, and the most smartest lioness I’ve ever met. Where ever I went she was there, and where ever she went I was there, we were so close we knew what each other are thinking before we even said it. I was so in loved with her I decided to ask her to marry me, suddenly the smile he had on his face slowly disappeared. Did she say no, I asked, she said yes, said Chris, but he still had a sad look on his face. I.......I don’t want to talk about it anymore, let’s just get back to our walk ok, said Chris with a small smile on his face. He then started walking again with his head down looking even more sad, I ran up to Chris and wrapped my arms around his hip, well as much as I could with how huge he is. Chris then looked down at me with a surprised look, listen Chris, I get that you don’t want to talk about it because it hard for you to. But, I just wanted to let you know that if you ever want to talk about it I’m here. Suddenly, Chris gave me the biggest smile I’ve ever seen on him, and with him being so big and so tall he got down on his knees, wrapped his big paw around my head and pulled me towards him making our foreheads touching each other. I know said Chris, I love you little runt, love you to old man, I said, then we both chuckled. Chris then got up and looked down at me, come on, let’s finish our walk.
