**Boy** what a trip this was! Loved every bit of it, and certainly going to draw this dream sometime. Sadly, I'm still also working on another painting from a previous dream.
This was just what I needed, something to distract me, to give me visions of things so beautiful and exotic that even nature itself couldn't deliver those sensations.

Hey I'm sorry I only saw this now! One of the best things I can recommend is basically mindfulness. So be aware of your surroundings. Asking yourself randomly: "how did I get here?" (don't ask "Am I dreaming") because the latter is very easy to say "no" to without thinking.
When you don't remember your dreams or only little, start by maintaining a dream journal (if you don't remember any dreams, just write how your night was or what you wish to dream).
Things eventually become a habit and it'll trickle through in your dreams!
