Bio: Onigiri is Sizzle’s best friend. While Sizzle has a pretty important job, being a high-level Demon whose only real superior is the God of the Dead, Onigiri has no such claims. She works as a “Peace Guardian” which is fancy wording for “Hall Monitor”. See, there’s a lot of lower level Yokai or Impa in Japanese mythology, like the Kappa, who are very annoying to the head honchos, the Oni (this is not purely accurate to Japanese mythology but my little twist on it). The Oni are strong however and would much rather just destroy those who annoy them. To make sure that doesn’t happen too often, Amanojaku like her are hired to basically keep the more annoying Imps in line for their own good.Her job is extremely demanding and she’s got a lot of anxiety: she’s basically the one responsible for the lemmings when there’s a ledge right there. And unlike lemmings, who don’t actually jump off cliffs to their deaths, the Imps literally cannot control themselves from being annoying dummies.
Thankfully, she’s got her BFF to help her relax. Sure, Sizzle is an mean little shit, but not to Onigiri. She helps the minor Oni take the edge off. Of course, Onigiri has her vices, being a fan of sake, stuffing weed in a pipe to smoke from the side of her mask and willingly eating anything as long as it’s got a sushi-like form. She also likes meat on the bone.
She loves to play many forms of the drum, enjoys cooking (but has fun using the foulest ingredients) and practices sumo. Personality-wise, she’s got two different states of being: work mode and fun mode. At work, she’s constantly running after annoying demons to prevent the Oni from getting angry so she’s very stressed and frustrated. Outside of work, she’s always looking for ways to circumvent those feelings so she’ll either be extremely mellow or ready to party. It’s all about enjoying herself outside of work and this includes whoever is near: she’d rather nobody be a bummer. She’s still an Oni, however: she likes to cause trouble. Also, demons are immortal and, therefore, always come back. She’s thus picked the habit of just eating the Yokai that cause too much trouble, in or out of work.
