A reference for my tabletop RPG character Oz! The campaign just started this past weekend and was a lot of fun!
Oz comes a long line of miners and stone cutters and he was senior miner before setting out on his adventure.
His journey from home starts after a horrible mining accident which felled most of his mining crew. He feels responsible for this incident as it was his turn to be lead foreman for the day but he had fallen ill. He had given the duty to a young apprentice so he wasn't around when the collapse happened. The bandana he wears was the young apprentice's, who perished in the tunnel collapse.
He had sent out a letter to the Adventurer's Guild on the off-chance they'd accept him. He received his acceptance the day after the collapse and took that as a sign from A'tuin his clan's great turtle god.
He plans to travel around the world collecting precious stones that he can add to his rosary. Those precious gems are thought to be fragments of shell from the great turtle deity that his clan had worshiped.
