How long did that take? Sketchup is fiddley at the best of times, let alone make a .45

I've been tinkering for a almost a year. The beam swords were a good hour or so, i just copy and pasted one of the beam renders, the beam katana has been tweeked over time.

The .45 took one day to model, then the grips on its sides took an entire sunday to make and make perfect. So over all the combined swords, and gun took about, hm... going to be fair and say three days tops.

Whoa... I am going to think twice about my fursona's katana then XD

heh, well my sona's beam katana started off a one hander originally and now its a two hander but since its a beam blade he can still one hand it, unless he gets serious, the blade for it can reach all known katana lengths, but not go 'anime long' or 'sephiroth long'.

The beam renders have a set length of 4 feet, so they're a bit more realistic compared to having a Uchikatana(sp) lengthed beam katana. If i'm correct a Uchikatana is the longest known katana without going into the real life zanbato's.

My fursona, Ria, has a double bladed katana that reaches about 3-4 feet in length I think. I can't remember the exact details

ah, the only thing about material blade katana's is i hate the curved blades. I've always liked the straight blade katana's, or atleast depicting them with straight blades.

It's straight as you can make one. The twin blades of death can never be broken

Heh, well, you can't techically break a beam blade, however you can short it out and break the handle and all that emits the beam.

Its what I like about beam blades, can't be broken unless you're actually trying to break it.

Well I'd make the best person to break one. I am always trying to break stuff in school XD

I tend to try and take care of my 'junk' sine its already broken or on the verge of breaking i try and make due with it.

Huh... why two of the bulkier beam renders? Seems it'd be more practical to have two of the lighter and easier to controll beam katanas and one beam render for double-grip single-wielding...

The Beam Renders have a 4ft reach, the Beam katana's reach can vary. Plus they are hammer space weapons, left hand is gun and one beam render, right hand is beam katana and beam render. So no matter which hand he can bring out a beam render, and should he want to switch to a gun he just needs to bring in the right hand beam render if he still needs a blade with a knuckle guard and then bring in the pistol.

Might be over complicated but seems to make sense to me.
