Type of Response wanted: All.. Redline preferred seeing as I'm a strict visual learner and verbal criticism gets lost in my mind. ^^;
Artist's Comments:
I got lazy with the kitty face, I can fix that without too much trouble.
No clue how to draw a simple couch, I sorta got the pillow/cushions alright. The girl is the one who's laying down passed out/sleeping, arm dangling off the couch and one leg tucked in a bit more than the other. Fell asleep on the kitty's lap x3
The girl is a puppy with fox markings, a tail that's poofy but has a slight curl at the end.
I really fought with this pic, trying over and over to get the bodies to look "right", but no matter what I couldn't really do it right. He's supposed to have his hand over her, as if he's petting her or something. Not just laying in front of the girl.
I dunno what else to explain, if something is confusing just say so and I'll try to clarify. :3

I'm going to be boring and technical besides sounding like my teacher.
Construct it.
I only added some of the constructing, it would look confusing and messy otherwise. But i'm advising you to construct the whole character.
just make a very loose sketch of where all you have is a "skeleton" of sorts, just spheres boxes, whatever you fancy, as long as its there. Get the pose right before you continue to the "fun" stuff, so they doesn't get as stiff as they are now . It makes it so much easier to fix the mistakes.
remember to check that the proportions are right too, the foxes arm is too long for an example. Check That the limbs don't bent in a weird way.
THEN add details, aka the "fun" stuff.
Try to figure this constructing stuff out, it'll be frustrating and irritating until you get it to work for yourself. But try to make it fun to find something that works for you. ALWAYS have fun and play with it as you like.
about the arm resting on your fox, get some perspective in it and make it hang, there's some gravity pulling it all. It'll make things look more natural. :)
hope this makes sense ^^;

hey, boring and technical works for me :P
Part of the problem is that I try to start 'constructing' the pose before I add details, but I don't know how to actually make the pose (example, knees bent while sitting on the couch) in the first place. I've used references, but I can't ever really find the exact thing I'm looking for. ^^;
I wasn't so sure if the arm was too long or not, since it was kinda dangling off the couch, but the redline made me see the length it should be at so that works.
I like what you did with the resting arm! looks just what I was trying for, I just couldn't figure out perspective.
Thanks :3 I'll try to work with this once I find some pencils and erasers.

constructing others pictures for the fun of it works well if you don't feel sure on your constructing skills (lol sounds so cheesy), it's all practice makes perfect :3
i actually think the hanging arm could be shorter than i made it in the redlines, if you wanna play with it.
try making a new drawing instead of drawing on the same paper. :3
and glad you could use my scribbles ^^

I know this is prolly more confusing then helpful, but it was too hard for my to explain. http://i303.photobucket.com/albums/.....ines/Daww1.png
If she is supporting her head on his lap, then we need to put them at an angle and have both of his legs under her head. Then I had her curl one arm under her head to support it further. Also having his hand on her shoulder would be weird feeling for her, and a little claustrophobic, so I moved his arm to lay on her back, maybe he's skritching her back or just rubbing it. I shortened her arm a tad, I made her body slightly longer, and made his slightly smaller. Though, I think
CrArt's is more helpful. ^^
I hope this helped in at least a little. ^^; Thank you so much for letting us critique it! =) Good luck~!

Aww this is so cute ^_^
Well if you're having trouble with furniture kind of stuff, I'd think of taking a look at perspective lessons.
This might help http://www.drawspace.com/lessons/e0.....-for-beginners
And try to think of your drawing as a full set of lines, not as each independent component.
EG, in this pic, I can easel tell who you drew first, and that you left the couch for the end. Here is why: the way chars are situated against each other. Try to remember, while you draw, to not work on one thing first, and then the other, but the whole image at the same time. So in your rough sketch, you'll have probably a box representing what will be the couch, and may be stick or cylinder figures representing your characters. It's more work, yes. But it will help you know exactly where everything and everyone goes, to prevent not knowing how to put the couch or having someone's head inside other's leg.
