and that's really good you watermark your works now! as a victim of art theft many times, i like to be sneaky and try and make em look hidden but still visible like easter eggs. i add a few usernames here and there
this is incase the thief finds out the work is protected by watermarks so anyone who take a close look will be able to find out and call them out for stealing. also to save the thief trying to crop, i often add watermarks near their faces like on their ears so they wont be able to try and make an avatar or something

yeah it can often make the art more enjoyable too since the drawing itself is more noticeable than big "art and characters belong to so and so, do NOT steal, trace, etc" covering the whole pic. like i totally get that they wanna protect their works, especially after a theft incident, but some of us aren't here to steal and still wanna admire their works <:3
