Does your 10 billion dollar telescope have some little issues 1.2 million of kilometres away from your planet? Don't worry, the PSA (Pony Space Agency) is ready to handle those kinds of situations. Just call us now!
I'm going to repeat the same thing of every submission I know, but, once again, I had in mind making a drawing in the space/related with astronauts since a long time ago. I didn't have that little twist to make a more original drawing than just a boring one in the space yet, and then this idea came to my mind and I liked it.
Sadly, if you don't know what the James Webb Space Telescope is, you're not going to understand probably almost anything of this new artwork. Well, summarizing, it is a really powerful infrared telescope that was sent to 1.2 millions of kilometres away from the earth (it is already there by the way), the past month of December. It is a really really really delicate project because it costed a huge amount of money and no one would be able to "visit it" in case it needs some serious repairs.
Bon Bon (AKA Sweetie Drops) was for me the perfect candidate for this drawing, mainly because she is a pony I haven't drawn yet and for all of what happened with her in the episode Slice of Life of the fifth season of MLP.
You have to know that this drawing was really complex for me to do, because I was into a serious block where I didn't feel confident about any of my lines and I had to work hardly to pass all of that. But, working on the details, especially the shading was really funny and I liked pretty much the result, so... it was worth it!
So, what do you think? Do you feel more confident now that you know this expensive telescope can be repaired by ponies? :P

I am quite awestruck by this submission that features the pony who introduced us to Princess Celestia's super secret monster monitoring organization.
Have you ever had a chance, or interest, in reading the book where Bon-Bon / Sweetie Drops brings Lyra into 'S.M.I.L.E.'? It is a really good book that has been published and also has an audiobook version in both English and Spanish. (iTunes has been offering more Spanish options in its collection with MLP books really getting a good showing over the past few years.).

Now it is time for me to geek out by showing how excited I am for you doing a picture in honor of the successful launch and placement of 'The James Webb' telescope.
I have been following the launch of this super powerful telescope for months. I learned of it through a YouTube channel I started watching called 'The Simply space'.
'The Simply space' has shared how current methods for performing calculations, like 'The Transit Method', have allowed 'The Hubble Telescope' and other telescope systems to detect 'Exoplanets'. Each video about exoplanets ends with how so much more will be able to be learned about these distant worlds thanks to how powerful the James Webb Telescope is compared to any other telescope ever made.
I can hardly wait to learn additional details about all the 'Super earths', 'Water Worlds', 'Neptune-like', and 'Jupiter-like' planets that have already been discovered. Scientists already have figured out some of their atmospheric compositions and what they have shared is simply amazing.
I am also extra excited to learn more about 'Black Holes' and if The James Webb Telescope can prove the existance of 'White Holes'.

I have really been into the exploration of stars, planets, and planetary moons since I was in Elementary / Primary School. I never passed a chance to watch a special that would talk about what was learned about those worlds beyond our own. What is even better is how, likely in my son's lifetime, we may actually build colonies on 'The Moon' and get a manned mission to Mars.

What a wonderful picture, Sweetie. Knowing that Bon-Bon / Secret Agent: Sweetie Drops would have the ability to travel to repair this amazing leap forward in space exploration is very awesome. I do believe I will be geeking out over this for the rest of the day. Woop!

Yes, I agree with you Yosh. The James Webb is a really interesting project which is going to teach us a lot of important stuff about the universe. It is going to be really interesting and for me, one of the nicest positive news of the recent time, a pretty good thing to talk with others if you ask to me.
No, I didn't know about the book you mention. I'd probably start to check stuff of the "extended universe" of MLP, but I think I'll do that once I finally finish the show... One day... Soon I hope.
And yeah, without a doubt Sweetie Drops is a nice character hehe. She clearly has a nice design by the way.

Is there anything you are feeling most excited about 'The James Webb' telescope finding?

You reminded me of how I wanted to see if Sweetie Drops / Bon-Bon has a similar coat, mane, and tail color as the Bon-Bon from 'My Little Pony Tales'.

Are there any previous generation of ponies that you would have liked to see brought back in 'Friendship is Magic'?
It is going to be exciting to see how MLP G5 turns out. It sounds like they are making two different shows and a pair of specials. They are going to be split between 'YouTube' and "NetFlix'. (I would prefer it being released on a genuine channel over being put on youTube, but at least we get more pony.).

Well, I never followed in reality previous MLP generation so I cannot say anything about that, but I always found curious that Scootaloo and Cheerilee appeared in the previous ones.
Yeah, the fifth generation could be interesting, but first is first, I have to recover mentally completely to continue with the ninth season of fourth generation. I also have pending several extra content of this generation like the Equestria Girls movies, so I'll try to catch them up eventually too. I know that eventually I'll catch up everything about the fifth generation too, but, first, I need time, and second, I'll continue really attached to the fourth generation no matter what.
About Webb, I guess the important information we're going to obtain from Exoplanets. Also, I'm not sure if James Webb would be capable of it, but it could be good if it can give us more information about the "Cosmic microwave background" to see if our theories about "cosmic inflation" or "quantum gravity" are going in the right path or not.
PS: I had to look for several terms to know how they were written in English :P

And this is why, when I have someone to learn it with, I want to take the time to learn Spanish. It is a language that is picking up in day-to-day use in The United States and is definitely worth learning. In the least to show more respect to those who know it as their native language.

I'm super excited for all that the 'James Webb' telescope will inform us of. There is just so much out there to discover.
What I really hope for is that private businesses start to invest in space exploration. I do not like relying on private business for what is needed to further explore the solar system and beyond, but it is just not what most countries can invest in when the real need is the well-being of their citizens.

The exoplanets found so far are quite scary. It would be really nice if James Webb could find some that sound like they could genuinely support life. The hostile exoplanets 'could' support life, too, but nothing that we could make sense out of without finding a way to travel tens, hundreds, or thousand of light years away.

What will be fun is to see what theory proves most accurate for how our universe is going to be many billions of years from now. I hear a lot about how 'Dark Matter' is rapidly pulling the universe to where conditions would make it become an absolute zero nothingness. Personally, I like the idea that suggests that the universe will slow its speed of advancement, stop, and then gravity will bring it all back together until conditions are met to perform another 'Big Bang'. This outcome is much more positive, in my opinion, with it giving good reasons to how Hydrogen would be replenished to restart the creation of stars.

I really like space and learning about all that is out there. There is just so much joy in knowing that just about anything could be out there. The only place as limitless as our universe is our own imaginations.

Learning other languages is useful and really enriching for your and your brain. I just would want to clarify that I shouldn't be a reason for you to do that. I can already communicate really good with you without a trouble, so don't worry at all about it :)
I understand what do you say. Space exploration and science in general is really underrated by the citizens. People want to see investment in stuff that they can use immediately, not stuff that they don't know what is going to be useful for.
Exoplanets are usually scary, yeah, their conditions aren't usually the best ones, but well, we have explored a considerably small amount of planets in the universe we can observe, so, I'm sure there are tons of planets out there with nice conditions.
I think the responsible of "enlarging" the space is the Dark Energy, the Dark Matter is indeed what maintains the galaxies together despite of the effects of dark energy trying to separate them. Since we don't have a single clue about what exactly are those mysterious substances, well, yeah, both scenarios are still possible.

I have to ask if you may, or may not, be a fan of 'Star Trek'? My parents introduced me to the original with Kirk, Spock, Scotty, and the rest of the diverse crew of The Enterprise. I have since enjoyed 'Next Generation', 'Deep Space 9', 'Voyager', and am currently really enjoying 'Discovery'.
I am pretty sure a lot of my interest in outer space and planets beyond our Earth and solar system comes from those younger years of my family exposing me to 'Star Trek'. What is really exciting is how the 'futuristic technology' in the show has inspired the creation of a few of our modern tools. Most notably the mobile phone / flip phone.

I watched a YouTube video on the studies done to analyze asteroids that are in and around the Asteroid Belt. The resources within them are astounding reasons for any country to want to seek ownership of to mine through unmanned mining equipment. I do not see countries taking advantage of such an opportunity to acquire such resources to sell to other nations in the world. I do believe that some very rich people will take the hint of what is possible by helping NASA, along with other space agencies, create a permanent base on our moon to make long distance ventures to acquire resources from asteroids, comets, etc., and replenish the ever dwindling amount of usable resources our Earth can give as a result of our rampant population growth and destruction of natural habitats.
