Entry 5
“Having gained new sight from the void of chaos, Roxanne Wolf has forged ‘Roxy Wasteland’ as her dominion. Beware all who enter the dark queen’s chaotic kingdom.”
Well holy crap! It looks like my free time playing with the main lineup of animatronics really paid off. Our little Halloween event was just about a week ago, and my goodness did my designs get a lot of love. And thankfully we didn’t prohibit photography during the reveal, cuz the internet also went nuts over them. And it seems that proved successful enough during the event, that Fazbear Frights is officially on the board of future plans and promotions for Fazbear Entertainment. So it looks like things are looking up for me so far. Now the question is where to currently go from the main animatronics lineup.
One possible lead might have presented itself in the morning paper actually. There was an incident in the next state over, at local Mega Pizzaplex. Apparently some kid got locked in after hours, and it resulted in a bit of vandalism, to the point where the whole building came down. The kid seemed to also have made off with a Glamrock Freddy.
I proposed taking a road trip over to what was left of the Pizzaplex and seeing if I could dig up anything good. Everyone else at work seemed to think it was a good idea, but I’d have to get moving if I were to find anything good, and maybe use a vacation day, cuz it’d be a day long drive.
About four and a half hours later, I made it to the wreckage, of course to find its owners and staff rummaging around. So this would be more about asking permission rather than sneaking about. But thankfully, it didn’t seem too difficult to get my hands on some animatronics. They allowed me the remaining three glamrocks, as they decided to just reorder the whole band. They just wanted to keep the daycare attendant and DJ Music Man, since they had little to no damage on them. I was more than happy to accept the conditions, then started home with three new animatronics to try my hand at.
For today’s entry, this one was practically a passion project within a passion project. Of all the Glamrocks, my all time favorite was Roxanne Wolf. Everything from her design to her bad girl personality was just a treasure to me. So of course having one to bring my creative style on just made me every shade of happy. Course when I switched her on, she was quite on edge. Not that I could blame her or anything. I mean she had a huge gaping hole in her face where her eyes used to be. Then there was also a lot of emotional baggage to go with it, be it from personal insecurities or guilt from attacking a child, apparently not entirely of her own volition. So needless to say, there needed to be some comforting, assurance and trust building before I could really proceed with the physical work.
After I managed to help her and convince her to join my cause, it was time to work my magic. I admit, I didn’t do too much different from her initial look, least in my opinion. I chose not to be as much horrifying and gruesome as just dark beauty. Who knows, maybe I’ll do a retake somewhere further down the line. But for now, I feel rather comfortable with it, and Roxy herself seems to have taken a liking to this seemingly gothic infusion to her 80’s esthetic. Course no doubt she is most happy about me making her new improved eyes and crafting a new face casing. Now to see what the public thinks.
Enjoy.
