As one who roams through time, my primary goal is to explore and record what I find. New places and people, or old places and eerie silence. Everything in between might be encountered upon crossing the thresholds of time.
What might have happened here? Life did not halt, but these statues were everywhere. Did the people here get petrified? Were they simply statues erected for some cause I've yet to discover?
That's the beauty of it. I don't know. But I hope to find out and record it to share with anyone curious.
