I was thinking of something I learned today- Most sunscreens only protect against sunburn and not actual skin cancer. I then thought of two other carcinogens- Charred food and a certain floor finish which once contained PCBs. Then I combined them into a Popular Science-esque illustration, which, in the end, I find kind of disturbing. Also, that's not Red Stripe, it's a bottle of Carbon Tetrachloride I found in my grandparent's basement. It was the best solvent.
I should have just titled this "Weekend activities" rather than dragging cancer into it. Oh well.
Um, something scary for Halloween, I guess?

yeah i heard about charring food does increase a cancer risk.
but if you char mystery meat hot dogs chock full of preservatives im sure that does help much at all haha.
I feel as if, instead of looking at your art via computer, i should be seeing it via VHS on an old Panasonic TV.

Funny thing, Carbon Tetrachloride was also used in Halon Extinguishers/Systems, (also known as Freon). The reason that Halon is no longer used is because in addition to contributing to the ozone depletion, it also produces phosgene gas. So yeah,it can remove paint AND put out fires at the same time.
