Exact thing happens to me frequently. But not every time. It depends on presence of inspiration. When its present - everything turns out nice. When its absent - I usually trying not to draw, and if I force myself to do that - then I get horrible results.

And also your mouse is so fat and nice looking :) I suggest you to do inking with thicker lines - I think that would turn out nice.

Thanks! Good to know I'm not alone. I've noticed if I force myself I don't get good results, so I've been trying not to do that. Been thinking about using thicker lines. I used to use them and then stopped for some reason. Maybe I'll work on that with whatever I decide to draw next.

That used to happen to me lots, I just developed a method for posing things and kinda working through it and drawing a LOT.

Thanks! I'm trying to find ways of working through it. I think part of it is just needing to draw more. Been having trouble finding time the past couple of weeks though.
