The HMS Glorious was a British aircraft carrier that sank on the 8th of June, 1940, after being riddled with gunfire from the German battleships Scharnhorst and Gneisenau with heavy loss of life. As of this writing, the wreck remains lost somewhere at the bottom of the Norwegian Sea; I thought it would be interesting to theorize what the wreck might look like, so I took my digital model of the Glorious and made a hypothetical scenario of the carrier being explored by a deep-sea submarine.
Here, the submarine takes a look at Glorious' island. A debris field can also be seen on the seabed under the flight deck, complete with some of the planes that fell off the ship as it was sinking.
