There will likely be a rather unpleasant smell of scorched feathers though I imagine the Orthontis will probably be unconscious so it won't bother him too much.
Given that he's rather plump and Orthontis have a high metabolism he really must be quite a glutton, so an electrical blast to the stomach might be the priest's way of chastising him for his sins.
