It was a torrential stormy evening, Meiko was making her way back into Steel City after a visit from her folks. Her trusty Snail chugged along as she made her way through the older rougher part of the city. She didn't always go through this part but it was quicker to go through the city to get her apartment than around it on one of the freeways.
Her car started to stutter, the engine light popping on. Quickly thinking she managed to pull into the parking lot of a Diner just as it stalled out and quit on her. Picking up her phone she let out an exasperated noise upon finding she had let the battery drain. She'd have to get it charged before she could call for help.
She looked at the Diner, it was a nice looking place on the outside, especially for this area of the city. Looked to be a retro-style place. Car and phone were both dead she didn't see many options, she had her charger at least but not the car adapter for it, not that would help much in her situation. Making her decision she gets out of her car and makes her way through the rain to the Diner, hopefully, it was half as decent on the inside.
