Name is a play on basilisk and silica, a mummified ambiguous reptile

Kind of thinking of something in this vein for a costume, withered dried out lizard thing with intricate geometric mummy wrappings ala how Egyptians did on some animals (google it). Maybe not this bold but dunno I kind of like it. I may take some belly dancing classes soon since there's a studio near me and try to learn to be more slinky and controlled and if I can get vaguely competent at that I can alternate that with stiff, writhing "death poses"
