A certain canine is very curious in a custom-made paw-boot that belongs to a certain hare. He's very curious about its odd design, with the built-in toes, fitting his paw like a glove. And, being a silly dog, he's very curious about the smell inside. Said hare, also relaxing and quite tired, thinks that the dog might be more interested in the smell of his actual paws, cooling in the air. Dogs like stinky things, after all.
