This is Zoa, one of the main characters in a story I started to develop about a dragon race called Azures... It's based on my visions I've had about them, and not only that, in my visions, i am Zoa...
Zoa is a dragon form of my fursona Zac. The colorful feathers on his neck and above his arms and legs allow him to float, and he five wing blades can be detached or used as a shield.... Tricky thing is how he flies, he must use his magic to form the wing blades on the other side, since he only has the blades on one side, he folds the upper three blades together, as well as the two lower ones, and flaps them in sync very fast, as a dragonfly...
Here's some facts about the Azure dragons:
The Azures are a peaceful and a gentle race, they live across fourteen continents, only, there are evil Azures scattered across twelve, and on only two continents are enhabited by good Azures and other creatures...
There are eight types of Azures, there are elementals, which are maintaining the balance between the creatures, along with the Clan dragons, And there are four common types, and two subspecies.
The four common types are:
-with one main wing, which have the strongest will and magic, since they have to form the other wing with their magic and sync it with the real one in order to fly.
-with two wings, which are quite swift and compact, but have weak magic.
-then, there are ones with three wings, which use the third wing as a rudder, and have great manuverability, but lack in strength.
-last, there are with four main wings, which are the strongest of all, but have the weakest will, which makes them easily decieved and controlled...
The subspecies have no main wings, they can only float, using their large feathers.
All types have large feathers....
The elemental dragons are the ones that were first born. The first elementals became when a spirit of a dying creature gets attracted by a spirit contained in an element, for example, rock, or water. Those spirits become one and they evolve gradually into a dragon.... Many were born at first, and they formed groups, gradually forming breeds... They disappeared, returned to their original forms, after the ninth generation had passed... But there was a war not so long ago, and some may think that it still lasts, during those dark times, the elementals were once again summoned by Anstrael, only living elder Azure dragon left... Four elementals were born... well, actually, not born, other creatures turned into them, creatures that had to earn the Azures' thrust before becoming one of them (Zac is one of the four)
The Azures formed Clans in order to maintain order between the Azures and other creatures, and they were also there to protect any other dragon from harm...The clans usually consisted in well trained, strong dragons capable of fighting, females were prevailing since they were stronger than the males... Each Clan has a name and a symbol, each Clan member wares clothes, any kind, and they have to wear something that would designate them in which clan they are in... They also carry weapons.like spears or bows, shields as well... Clan leaders have very high skills and are mostly females... Members can join a clan after gaining some reputation, or a reference... There are clans that have hundreds of members, those are usually the best ones, and in order to join them, one must have a pretty high reputation, the members also evolve in ranks...

It's very hard to critique someones original character, but I'll give it a shot! =D *determined face* First of all, Zoa is beautiful, and very unique looking! Plus, red is my favorite color, and all the hot colors help him look stunning. The arms are too thin, and small, if he is supporting his weight on all four legs, then he's going to slump forward. He has to support his upper body ( that large chest cavity ) and that long neck ( which is going to be heavy from the muscle ). His long thin tail is a good way to help him balance out, but I would suggest making it a little thicker, that way he doesn't look so top heavy. The head / face is very bird like, the eyes on the sides of the head are a Prey eye set. If his eyes are more forward (so you can look him straight in the face and see both eyes) then he's a predator. Also, unless he eats fish, or plucks leaves/berries/fruit, the beak-like mouth is not very useful. BUT, that is the beauty of making an original design, you can mess with it if you want, it doesn't have to make sense, scientifically. =)
Thank you for sharing him with us, he's very handsome! =)

I think the fingers are a little small. On top of that, the ruffles of fur on the belly and that general area feel a litttle overexaggerated. You don't always have to draw fur on furred characters. You already know it's furred, going too much into detail looks bad and very few artists can pull of detailing nearly every strand of fur on the body.
The coloring is nice and so are all the cool little details and markings, but all in all I'd strongly suggest practicing anatomy a little better. It feels a little week and it's a shame you couldn't include the full body. because your legs seem to have a weak start but I can't tell how the feet would go.
In any case, please don't get discouraged and keep on with the good work.

Coloring wise, I think I can add something!
The red is a good base, but you can really make it pop by adding in some purple pencil crayon, or some brown, or both, in the shades, to really give the shading a good 'pop'. Don't be afraid to press a TAD harder, and after laying down all the shade colors you could go back over it all with red pencil.
