Nope. Zaws don't form families like that, they're antisocial yet pragmatic, so they raise children communally; spreading the work between multiple individuals.
Some abandon the eggs, though, cause they didn't want the child. No hard feelings.

I imagine given the tendency towards circulatory problems that it would be quite sensible for older Cicopatli to keep up a regular workout routine to stay healthy. Does give you a good idea of just how strong they are and I imagine Mr and Mrs Matactl might have been even stronger in their younger days.

Yes, exercise is good for everyone. They gotta be careful not to strain themselves too much, though!
Sadly, yeah, they may not be as tough as they were previously :/
