Originally called "As Time Goes By" but changed to make it echo the title of the third section, this part of "My Kingdom" takes a lot of influence from bands like Stratovarius and Sonata Arctica, with the fast arpeggio theme going between the guitars and the harpsichord instrument.

The first piano section here was actually one of the false starts I made to "Born From A Wish", and it was written all the way back in 2003. It's survived here virtually unchanged.

This is about the realization that we're not going to live forever, and living outside the real world is wasting the time that we've been given. After all, we only see the moments of perfection in our imaginary worlds, and being there for more than a moment in time might not be what we imagine it to be.
