This was the first drawing I started during my most recent Picarto stream. The theme was the Lunar New Year and zodiac animals associated with it. 2022 is the year of the Tiger so I had to draw one, but I decided to take a stab at drawing a character who I haven't drawn in almost 30 years. Shere Khan from the 1990s Disney TV series Tale Spin.
Khan Industries main headquarters was located in coastal city of Cape Suzette. Khan wasn't really a villian in the show, but he was definitely an antagonist who often was at odds with crew of Higher for Hire.

I don't have many memories about Tale Spin but it always seemed strange to me to see Shere Khan as an antagonist in that show, even more so if you take into account that only some of the characters from The Jungle Book animated movie appeared in that show; It was a show... quite interesting without a doubt. Regarding the Shere Khan seen here, I must say that this is a good rendition of him; good work.
You know seeing this, and the other day I was remembering Tail Spin.
I remembered this one episode where Kit, Baloo, and Wildcat were flying over a desert with a shipment of fruit, Wildcat was throwing out rotten fruit, and were captured by the local mining forces posing as Sherriff and depty, and intending to force them to work in the mines, thought Wildcat was Shere Khan. Their employeer.
Long Story short resulted in the female heroine making a call from a phone, for help, and just exactly WHO did she get. Shere Khan himself.
"Please I am at the mining town of (Forget the name), Shere Khan has been taken captive and they are gonna kill him."
In a casual voice. "I find that hard to believe."
In the end he chose to go and investigate, and ended up replacing/compensating Baloo for his lost cargo due to spoilage. So he wasn't always an antagonist.

Oh Little Nitpick, I Shere Khan's Jaw is more Square. Not rounded. GREAT picture.
