Hum... No. You're right, but the man who cut this picture to broadcast it (in a website) didn't ask to the Manga-ka to do what he did. I know it's naughty but some graphists, like me, use some renders like this one without permissions. Some people here, draw pokemon, but without permissions too.

there's a difference between recreating something and using that thing completely. and you cant put the picture on the site, but you cant modify it can call it 'your work'

that's not enough, anyone could do that. because you didnt verbally get the permission from the author, you should remove this. if you want to consider yourself an artist, you should think about what it would feel like for some random nut on the internet to just take your work, ad a sparkle, and then call it theirs.

I don't consider myself like an artist, not for this "stuff" anyway. But if I follow your respect of law, some people here must remove some pics from their gallery. It's the same thing for all the web. Why just me ?

actually, the anime is a seperate thing from the manga, and he was paid long ago. you dont keep getting paid, you sell the show to the network for a lump sum. the artist makes no money besides copyrights, and THOSE go to whatever publisher he's under.

Look, if nobody watch the Anime (or reed the book), the manga won't be famous, thus the manga-ka won't have his pay, or the same pay if you want, so I participate more or less.

Eyeshield 21 is already famous. Enough to have US reeders and french watchers. I really respect artists (even my mother is one of their and I'm one too), look my others submissions, all drawings used in modification stuff was accepted by the artist. But they're FA artist, not VERY famous (I told to my mate if he known Shiuk, he answer me no.). That's manga-ka has enough money and don't care about a little stuff done by a simply man in another country.
And really, don't you think I'm not trying to make my work famous ? I'm a graphist, an artist like you, but in another way.
