Beach Boy [Secret Santa]
Forgot to upload this one. I created this on December 30th, 2021. For Geoledgy of their character, Calvin, the flamingo version. A relative of mine asked me to keep the shading simple, so I did... even though, I usually prefer doing more dynamic shading. I hate how the bird lady in the background looks and I think I could've done a better job on the umbrella, but I think this is fine, otherwise, as far as simple scenery goes. I just wanted to make it feel as though he's actually in an environment, rather than in a colorful void. The deadline was December 31st, I believe, and I had done so many previous attempts at drawing Calvin and did some sketches of Geoledgy's other characters that I decided to make this as simple as possible, pose and perspective-wise, although I also wanted to draw a waist-up instead of a simple headshot. In the future, I'll redraw this or edit this so it can look more dynamic. I've already come up with a few thumbnails for a future drawing with Calvin and a similar setting.
