Yeah the eyes for this race of kobolds is super huge, so I try to only use it with this character. Other than that I try to keep the eyes much smaller

Definitely a cartoony style and context; the implicit humor is apparent, especially when considering the eye-scaling for both characters.

The subtle brush-shading (as on the thighs and arms) is easily overlooked, but adds depth. However, some of the subtler details can be misinterpreted as errors; I misread the (viewer's orientation) right foot's middle toe-pad as a missed bit of brushwork from an underlayer until I saw its left foot counterpart.

The difference in technique for eyes is definitely eye-catching (cue rimshot) and effective at presenting emotion and intent in the character.

Finally: The characters are adorable.
