Interesting. Quantum physics is such a complex sounding science, but if you get the right person to explain ideas and concepts to you, it becomes extremely simple.

One of the things that really blows my mind is the idea of wave-particle duality, and the part in quantum physics that direct observation plays; placing two slits and firing electrons one at a time actually seems to cause each electron to interfere with its own probability and create a pattern like a wave... but using anything to determine for sure which opening the electrons pass through causes them to behave like matter and form two lines of particle signatures instead.



On a totally different note, the book I'm referencing in this picture explained a way of travel that could 'cheat' the limits of the speed of light by taking two points in the fabric of the universe and temporarily bringing them together. Science often explores new ideas based on science fiction... I certainly wonder if this idea has gone anywhere in the last 48 years. :3
