"I'd like to address preferred names and pronouns, please. You don't have to believe someone 'actually' is whatever they identify as to use what they prefer. The fact that using the 'real' or 'correct' name or terms makes the person uncomfortable is reason enough to switch. To me, that's just respectful common courtesy. If someone's only 'hurting' themselves, try and be supportive instead of 'right'. I mean, it costs nothing to do so."

My fursona pushing a soapbox into view and getting on it for a bit. Been awhile since I did one of these. And I really need to redo the last one. This is pure digital work, which I'm quite proud of. Soapboxes are heavy, but sometimes you have to make use of them. Also, just to be clear, this is talking about when someone has already made their preference clear, and another person insists on using their "real" name or "correct" terms. Not if the person didn't know and just happened to goof. One shouldn't need to be corrected repeatedly.
