About time I returned to this. Raccoons are considered to be the court jesters and knaves of the forest. This is probably due to the markings around the eyes and on the tail. Only a select few have ever bucked that trend. (i. e. Rocket Raccoon and Ranger Rick) I love the fact that despite their cunning, they can be a good friend, if you let them, that is.
