Original Species: Islander Spitter Drake
And back to some bigger fauna.
The Islander Spitter Drake is a semi-aquatic relative of the Arid Spitter Drake and the Green Runner Drake. As the name implies, it lives on islands, specifically the ones close to the eastern shores of Arcadia.
This species has a powerful, flattened tail (much like that of a crocodile) that enables it to travel across shallow, coastal water in search of viable prey. It also possesses membranes in between its fingers and toes which further aid in swimming. Once it spots a potential meal, it shoots a glob of watery mucus from the sacks on the sides of its head. This mucus either slows down or completely immobilizes prey which can include anything from birds to fairly big mammals and reptiles.
Islander Spitter Drakes are not picky eaters and will eat any meat they come across be it dead or alive. They are also not above hunting humans, so it's best to avoid them if possible.
