This is something new I wanted to try: The One-Shot Headshot, I call it. I name it that, because it's to get spontaneous, impulsive headshots in my portfolio. Planning takes me too much time.
So I have 10-sided dice, and I roll them to get a 4-digit number. The first two digits determine the species, while the last two determine the expression. Thus, from the 100 different species, and 100 different expressions, I got, "parrot" and "repelled."
When I look at this parrot, I'm still a bit shocked that I made him, because it's different than what I usually do.
This guy, I'll call a "random character." I wouldn't call him one of my "official characters," because I haven't named him nor designated him a relationship to my other characters in my fantasy story. Despite me making him on the spot, he has potential to become a more developed character in the future. But at a minimum, he'll be one of those background, crowd characters in my anthro universe. This goes for all my other random characters that I will create in the future.
I will roll again and see what random combination I'm given for my next one-shot headshot.
2022_02_19 Update:
I'm calling him Gawko.

Aww!!! That's pretty cool dude. Your expression hits right on target.
By the way, that new method you employed to designate what you're going to draw is very interesting. And, well, even if you don't plan on making a new character with this one. Still, it's kind of cool how it can turn out ❤️

Thank, Vickma! Yeah, when I got that expression, it was a bit of a challenge to think of something, so I thought of character stills of furry YouTubers to help me. Glad you think this method is interesting.
Yeah, sure. The result was fun to see even if I don't have plans for this character. I think I might have a minor role for this character in my story. We'll see what becomes of him.
