Some art of my spooky scary snakeboy, Spindle :') Pre-alien form, that is. Spindle didn't start out as an irken--this was his original appearance, a snake-like species on some distant, tribal-stage planet. He ended up being burned alive by his village for "too much dark magic/hurting people" or some other such nonsense, and as he was dying, he screeched out curses and spells. One of em worked, apparently, because some dark spooky spirits heard him and snatched up his spirit, basically making a deal with him that if he served them in the afterlife for eternity, he'd be allowed 1 more century in a living body to carry out whatever nefarious deeds or vengeance he desired. Spindle agreed, and was SLAPPED on into the irken body/form you all know today :')

He got his vengeance long LONG ago on his (honestly perfectly reasonable) village and family, and is living out his days in his spooky swamp, making stews and potions and looking for ways to push off the inevitable Death Day and having to serve evil spirits for eternity.

Anyway, really loved coloring his pink eyes here :')
