Its been around 4 years since our last reversed scaled gauntlets, not too shabby! We still do not offer these are a regular basis but we've made an exception.

This lovely buyer reached out to us regarding a pair to wear over his protective jacket while on their motorcycle. Although we vehemently recommend our projects for indoor costume use only, they are willing to accept any risks that come with wearing scalemail while riding. They are excited to primarily wear them to children's hospital parades!

Quick note to clarify: we do not offer reversed scalemail gauntlets for very strong reasons. The primary one being our style of knitting the scales means they are going to move around with gravity. So as you can see in the video, the scales are constantly wanting to flip partially upside-down with the human arm's natural position of being down at their sides. Although this may be a cool "puffed" up look, 99% of our older buyers (when we still gave the option) came back later to say they regretted getting them knit in reverse after seeing how smooth our normal facing-down scalemail is. This was such a common occurrence that we got rid of the option all together in early 2018 . We, as an artist, didn't want anyone else accidentally regretting their decision.

Anodized aluminum scales are from TheRingLord. Everything is hand knit and sewn together by us!

This entire pair took 12 hrs to make! They weigh around 1lb per arm. Very easy costume wear!
