When you see an ancient god-emperor standing before you in the flesh, you bow down, even if you don't necessarily agree with his political views. Yes slavery bad and expansionist empires are problematic, but you know what else is bad and problematic? Being squashed like a bug.

Fcking superb you funky little resurrected-ancient-prince-turned-emperor-whose-now-kind-of-the-emperor-again. I'm sure Markus can slowly convince him to maybe only enslaved the vast hordes of people simping for him rather than everyone else with enough time and talon polishes.
I barely play LoL, but Azir stands out as my favorite character mostly due to his appearance. He perfectly fits the giant role and deserves more attention. The artist made an excellent job on the lines and the shades. Plus I love the perspective.
I would bow down and worship him as well, however I may hesitate to approach his beautiful talons as my dirty hands could soil them. I would appreciate to serve him though.

I'm only just doing catch up on this series after Arcane convicted me that there was more to the game then just endless multiplayer but a complex world that seems built of several different fantasy settings. Shurima and the Ascended have one of the coolest back story. I also don't thin ascended Azir is pro-slavery XERATH but a macro Xerath not expanding his empire so that all may know Shurima's divine greatness would be criminally out of character especially for a macro version of him. One of my biggest worries reading Shurima is that misconception about it being proslavery will either prevent an Arcane like adaption that I think it deserves or cause retcons that would undermine the whole point of slavery being what actually doomed the empire in the first place.
Heyo! Glad you had fun with Arcane!
The whole pro-slavery thing is a joke to dunk on one of my friends who gets really annoyed with faux political discussions based around League of Legends and its various characters, lol.
I am well aware that Azir was actively working to abolish the whole slavery thing, though many people are of the opinion that as a ruler he should have done more than simply working behind the scenes, but rather abandon the comforts of his rule and spearheaded a revolution that would have brought the slavery to an abrupt and, admittedly, violent end in Shurima.
Not sure I share that opinion, but nevertheless it is funny to poke fun at. I'm fairly certain that Azir won't be pro-slavery moving forward though.
