Here she is, some shiny new art for Syrup! My old tanuki woman who helps people lost in the woods. I wanted to touch her design up for a while, and thought Takoshroom's Takotanukicollab on twitter was the perfect opportunity to do it!

I have a few tanuki characters but decided to do syrup because, again I’ve been wanting to fix up her design for a bit, I wasn’t super happy with the last time I drew her. I think this is a lot nicer looking.

For some backstory she’s an old tanuki lady who lives alone in a cabin in the woods. And when she finds people lost in her forest she’ll nurse them back to health and guide them out. And of course, when she goes into town she turns into a human so no one knows she’s a tanuki. She can fight monsters via shapeshifting, but is generally a non-violent kind old lady. And also I originally made her while playing around with the character creator in RPG Maker lol.
