I wonder if Cooper may have protested that despite being popularly referred to as saber-toothed tigers that smilodons aren't tigers or even that closely related so he'd have preferred to have had a different introduction.
He certainly looks to be very ticklish, though I imagine that his ordeal won't be over for a while. There's still room on the main paw pads and on the toes for writing out 2022 on there and I imagine he'll be even more sensitive there.
