[PR]A Well Deserved Break

Mercenary had promised to help find the Grimoire of Zero, and in doing so, the beast-fallen arranged to meet with a knowledgeable mage who was said to have traveled in from a far off land.  The meeting proved to be pointless, and the mage never showed.  There had been a brief flash of light at the agreed meeting time, but nothing else happened, and more importantly, no mage appeared.  With a grunt, Mercenary moved on with his search, despite an annoying pebble that had lodged itself in one of his boots.  The beastfallen warrior ignored it, however, and went on with his day.



After an entire day of work, the mercenary finally was able to retire to a local tavern and take a load off.   Slipping his aching feet out of his boots, he propped them up on the table and gave his toes a few waggles while he flexed his feet, curling them forward slightly.  It felt so good to relax...
