it makes me sad that shelties and collies sometimes being treated badly
a few years ago i started to support two people here im the Netherlands by donating money every year
they pick up unwanted collies and shelties and find new homes for them its pretty noble what they do

We got Alex from a high kill shelter here in Mississippi. He had been burned, starved and his back leg broken. His emotional state was even worse. We kept him 2 and a half years putting him back together body and soul. We never could get him over the separation anxiety so the rescue picked a retired couple so they could be with him 24/7 and they had shelties more than 15yrs so knew the breed.
