As hilarious and over-the-top the comic is, this REALLY happens to me from time to time, mostly because it takes SO LONG to update it. (I do appreciate the help from the people running the app!) That, along with about 20 zillion shouts and notes about "hey update fa rank hey hey listen hey update the ranking". If it were up to me, this stuff would update monthly, maybe even weekly. Let's just say my endeavors aren't very well received by certain higher-ups on this site.
Sure, I get lots of flak for "starting drama" and turning it into a "popularity contest". I especially LOVE the people that take it WAY too seriously. First of all, grow a pair; I'm sorry your parents put you in one of those "we-don't-keep-score-everybody's-a-winner" baseball little leagues. If it upsets you that much, there's always this option.
If your goal in life is to become the most popular artist on a site that dedicates a majority of its submission "themes" to various kinks and fetishes (and considers apples mammals?) you REALLY need to take a good, long look at your priorities in life. Sure, it's a pretty neat accomplishment, but shit, man, this place is TINY compared to DeviantArt! That place is like... huge! You'll have to really draw good stuff to get to the top there!
On the bright side, I've gotten even MORE comments from people who have used it to discover new and talented artists that they simply weren't able to find before. I've noticed people like to fanboy over a handful of artists. Sure, their stuff might be pretty awesome, but there are thousands of others out there whose art you might like even more, but just don't know about. And heck, you might even make a few new friends in the process.
